More About Us

The Team At Paddlefast

What we do

The Paddlefast website has been designed to offer a quick online solution to your needs for Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs) and spares. Whether you’re looking for the essentials, like boards and paddles, to nutrition bars and dry bags, you can be sure that anything you find on the Paddlefast website has been tested by ourselves or our team and is, we believe, the best there is available today.

We’re often on the water ourselves so drop us a line if you’d like to try before you buy. We’re based in Central Scotland and have been known to drive all over the country to enjoy paddling in a new spot.

How we got started

Paddlefast is the paddleboarding part of the Scottish Sailing Group which was established in 2002.

In 2014, we were approached by one of our suppliers who suggested we try paddleboarding (he also happened to be the sales rep for Red Paddle Co!) and we never looked back.

If you know us at all, you’ll know we’re happiest when we’re out and about at the many events we attend every single year. We love getting out and meeting you all, and giving you the highly personalised and experienced help with our products we’re known for.

Emma at Falkirk Wheel

Emma Hepplewhite

Emma started paddleboarding in 2014 after being persuaded to have a go by a friend. She is an ASI qualified instructor for levels 1 and 2 enabling her to teach paddleboarding. In 2019, she completed the Norfolk Broads Endurance SUP, a 70km paddle over 2 days on the Norfolk Broads and in 2020 tackled the Great Glen Challenge, a 92km challenge over 2 days. Emma has been running our SUP Club sessions in the summer months. She is always on the lookout for new paddleboard adventures.

Duncan Hepplewhite

Duncan started paddleboarding around the same time. However, his sailing commitments take priority so only really gets to enjoy it while on holiday, or if there’s no wind for sailing!
